Skema benefits from having a dedicated, in-house R&D team made up of exceptionally talented and highly qualified engineers, who work in close collaboration with the Mechanical Engineering Department at the Politecnico in Milan, investing together in state-of-the-art products and innovative solutions.

The main activities of our R&D program are currently as follows:

| Definition of suitable methods for the dynamic updating of technical manuals, including the use of multimedia tools to communicate information. |
| Analysis and study of the product using techniques of systematic innovation through the integrated deployment of various methods (Methodical Planning, QFD, AHP, TRIZ). |
| Development of mathematical models with the capacity to predict the behavior of the product when in use, taking due account of the requirements of multiple current quality systems and certification standards. |
| Acquisition and formalization of the company's shared knowledge base in relation to the consolidation and communication of information. |
